We had a great adventure this weekend. Every year, the Sri Sri Radha Temple in Spanish Fork celebrates Holi, a traditional Indian festival of colors. We went down early to catch some of the action and it was a "B" to the LAST! They had some great food, and a band was playing the same song over and over again in a different style. It was great. So, the basic idea of the festival is to celebrate Spring, love your fellow man, and throw colored powder on anyone you may come across. Our lungs probably wont recover for weeks, but it was great fun.

Thanks for the post! All of those photos are just amazing. I'm just curious- did you know to wear white so the colors would look super cool? And also, did they wash out? :)
I could see where a person could derive a lot of pleasure out throwing colorful powder at strangers! It makes for an instant teeth-whitener! (And yea--did it wash out?)

Todd did some research and told us to wear white, so we went to Wal-Mart before. The colors washed out, but we made the mistake of washing the white clothes in the machine instead of rinsing them out first - everything turned pink. But oh well, it was worth it. The worst part is getting the stuff out of the little hiding spots on your body. I blew my nose two days later and it came out purple.
